Master Cleanse 10 day lemon diet.

I've done the master cleanse a few times and I wrote an article about it back in 2006. I still do the cleanse about one to three times a year and since lots of people ask me about it and my experience, here is the article I wrote and a video blog about it. I did the video blog as an audition tape for a show that wanted a host to explain green living things but that show never made it and I kept the audition reel. I shot it myself with a tripod. The Master Cleanse by Stanley Burroughs is not for everyone and it is SUPER HARD. However if you stick with it you will get results. I do it before I have a photo shoot or if I have a special event where I have to look good, like my wedding. Lets hope I get married one day! I can't wait to have a wedding video.

Master Cleanse

Chocolate soufflé, a cheese burger, pretzels, rice, white bread, beef jerky, and muffins are just some of the foods that I will be eating in 6 days. YIPPEE! I have been on the master cleanse lemon diet for the past four days and this is absolutely the biggest challenge I have ever taken in my life. Forget about performing for a thousands of people at a Narcotics anonymous convention in the middle of an afternoon or riding a bike for 100 miles. I love to eat and drinking lemon with cayenne and honey everyday, well, lets just say it’s not pretty. You do spend quite a lot of time in the bathroom but it feels good, knowing that all the toxins or “crap” is coming out. I am quite amazed that I have lasted this long and I intend on doing it for the 10 days or more. I even went to the gym today and did cardio for one hour.

When you are doing a Master Cleanse, you start seeing things differently. In the last four days, my mind has been playing tricks on me in a good way, my time has increased during the day, and I found out who my real friends are.

When you are only drinking all day long, you start thinking about all the foods you miss, such as a pepperoni pizza. I am not on a diet. I am on a cleanse and your body appreciates it. I don’t feel deprived of food because on my first three nights of the cleanse, I dreamt that I was at a bakery buffet eating to my heart’s content. In my dream I was saying, “I can’t believe I am eating all this. I feel so guilty but obviously I am not strong enough to do the cleanse.” Then in my shameful moment, I went into a corner and gobbled up all the cream puffs I could possibly carry. Boy was I feeling bad. Then miraculously I woke up and whoo hoo! It was just a dream. Phew. And I actually felt as if I had eaten all the deserts.

Being on a cleanse, you won’t feel deprived because you can eat all you want while you sleep, and not to mention you get more time during the day. I have never realized how much time I spend during the day planning on what I want to eat for breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack, what I will cook, how I will cook it, where I will go out to eat, what I feel like eating, who I will eat with, what desert I want to eat, where I will go to buy food, and what wine I want to drink. That’s four hours right there. When you are on a cleanse, you get more time to actually do things that you have always intended to do, but had to eat. Now I finally have the time to catch up on my Nip/Tuck DVD’s, email my fans back, block perverts on my Myspace page, talk to old friends, catch up on all the gossip magazines, and this amazed me, even talk to my mom on the phone.

Being on a cleanse not only feels great but you also get to find out who your real friends are. Being that I live in Los Angeles, I have met way too many girls with an eating disorder. And what kills me is that the ones with an eating disorders are telling me that I should not do a cleanse. I realized my real friends stuck by me and did not tempt me in anyway. They said things such as you can do it. Stick with it. We’ll see you when you are done. On the flip side, another friend of mine, who I had lunch plans with really showed me her true colors. I called her to say that I have started a cleanse, so I will not be eating with her during lunch, but I could still go with her if she didn’t mind that I don’t eat. This girl went off on me. She has an eating disorder and she goes, “Tina do not do that. You will gain the weight right back. It is not worth it.” I told her I don’t care if I gain it back, this is a cleanse and I really want to stick with it. Then she replies, ”Tina you have to eat, eat a Powerbar, do what I do. Take laxatives, don’t eat during the day and if you must eat a protein bar.” Ugh, I don’t have an eating disorder. I like to eat three meals and enjoy my food. Then to her dismay I told her, “Look this is something I am doing for myself and if you can’t support me, I can’t be around you.” Then she says she is just looking out for me. Oh please! She probably just doesn’t want me to look good. This town, LA is filled with weridoz.

I am going to stick with the cleanse. It is only ten days. Just six more days. I know I can do it. I feel great and I know it is not forever and when I reach my goal, the prize is waiting for me at a buffet in the real world. Sourdough, you better watch out because I’ll be tearing you up.

I have been up to my eyeballs writing work related stuff, so I haven't had much time to write in my blog. HOWEVER I DO UPDATE MY FACEBOOK PAGE OFTEN with quick pdates... www.facebook.com/tkcomic

I will say FB gives me loads of materials because the Asian Profilers are everywhere and they certainly write me non stop asking dumb questions such as Tina, I am a fan. What is your website? URGHHH Why are Asian Profilers such idiots? He is on my FB page and it has my website url on it everywhere! Needless to say I blocked him. He obviously wanted to correspond with me and I don't have time for the foolzzzz.

8-8-09 Went to my friend's wedding at a place called Enchanted Forest near San Diego. She looked lovely and it was a nice atmosphere, unfortunately it was not on schedule and I starved. I left at 12:30 PM in the afternoon and it was already 8:00 PM and I still hadn't eaten . That place was unorganized. I do not recommend it. I left before the cake was cut b/c I was starving. They ran out of food :( I looked good though and I can only drink so much chardonnay on an empty stomach.

8-9-09 Went to my close friend Rita's birthday barbecue and she is black and a grandma so you know the FOOD WAS OFF DA HOOK! There was soo much food and I ate wayyyyyy toooo much. I made up for the day before. However now I am paying for it because my stomach is even larger and in charger now. I like to be in charge but lately my stomach has been.
I am going to go on a serious diet/fast starting
today because next week I am shooting a comedy short that is based on one of my stand up jokes. I have some cool co-stars in it and looking forward to my project. My friend Aaron who is an awesome director said he has color correction stuff for editing and I asked him if he had the stuff to make you thinner and he said he can't do that. URGHHH so I have to lose weight the old fashioned way.

Another buffoon deleted from my Facebook

It never ceases to amaze me. There are so many buffoons out there in the world. Time and time again it seems like I run into them, in the real world and online.

I deleted a male stand up comic from my Facebook this past weekend and yesterday this comic sends me a text "Did you delete me as a friend? What the f**k"

Um, first of all obviously I deleted you because you can no longer see my page. This comic showed me he is another narcissistic male in LA. In fact I blocked him.

My impression was right about this buffoon from the beginning but I didn't trust my sixth sense.

Here is the story. So this comic is new to LA so he is trying to network like crazy, etc... obviously wanting to be my friend so that maybe I will help him. I met him less than a month ago.

He befriends me so I am cordial and I go to see him at an open mic. It is at a restaurant. I got there and was hungry since I went after boxing so I ordered a burrito. I only ate a few bites. Then this comic comes over and we chat and he says he is super hungry so I gave him my whole burrito. He ate it all. I didn't mind.

Then a few days later he sends me a note on Facebook asking me for my honest opinions about his headshots. So I wrote him back saying I will comment on each photo but after he reads them to please delete my comments because I don't want people to think I am stalking his page or writing mean things. I gave him my honest opinions and those were some bad head shots. I also didn't want his photographer reading my comments. He had some good photos and some bad ones.

Needless to say a week went by and I didn't hear a peep out of him. I mean you would have thought he woud have read them and thanked me or something but nada, nothing. Again it was a whole week! This guy is also a FB addict. He is even on it on his cell phone.

WHAT A JERK! Look how fast he responds. He is a FB addict and he has the nerve to say he didn't read my comments and then he says he read them.

So I deleted him from my Facebook and of course I ignored his text. If he had any class he would have written me back right away thanking me for the the comments and that he deleted them but no he did not. He proceeds to pretend he didn't read my comments. Then when I told him that was lame he said he read it. RUDE!!

If he even had a shred of decency, he would have wrote me or called saying, Tina I am sorry for what I did and I see you deleted me from your Facebook. Can you give me another chance and again I apologize for asking you to do me a favor and acting like I was too busy. BUT DID HE?? No he did not. THIS CLOWN sends me a text.

Hello guys. It has been a few years since I posted up a blog. I used to use myspace but they control it too much and I just thought FOOEY.

I finally decided to use this program and have it link up to my website http://www.tinakim.com/

Now I just have to figure out how to link it to my www.facebook.com/tkcomic account. I have started using Facebook at the beginning of this year and will slowly phase out of using myspace. I'll keep the older photos i have posted on www.myspace.com/tkcomic up for now but I will never update it.

All my updates will be on Facebook and this blog post from now on. I can't believe all the weirdos that try to connect with me on FB. I thought myspace was bad enough but now FB is getting that way too. I will add everyone who sends me a request to be my friend on my personal page.

However once you start writing too much or trying to joke with me when you are a stranger, know that I WILL BLOCK YOU! I don't have time to virtual flirt or virtual joke around with virtual friends. Some people really need to get a life. By the way, I am addicted to Bejeweled Blitz on Facebook. I made a video blog of it when I hit NUMBER ONE!! The high score of 227, 700.

25 things about me

I finally took the plunge and wrote my 25 things on Facebook.

I noticed a lot of folks have this up, and for you to get to know me better, here are 25 things about me as of July 12th, 2009 (FYI, I am buzzed right now).

1. I prefer hanging out with black people. They think I am thin :)

2. I like drinking wine, chardonnay, bourdeux, red blends, chianti. I hate merlot, pinot and any white wine that is not chardonnay. I started drinking wine heavily at the beginning of this year and wow I didn't know what I was missing!

3. I love lots of music from the 80's ABC, Berlin, A-ha, etc...

4. I was in love once with a guy who decieved me. He pretended to be a man with integrity, manners, a conscious, etc but in the end it was all lies. He turned out to be a true sociopath. I should have went with my instincts from the beginning but I fooled myself and in the end he really did a number on me. I still think about him time to time but I know I could never be with someone who consistently lies, cheats, steals money and takes advantage of others. However, I do miss him at times. U know sometimes the good times hurt more than the bad ones do. Think Scott Peterson or OJ.

5. I like boxing and spinning. I put that on my page all the time so that shouldn't be news to anyone.I also like walking and hiking.

6. I am highly organized.

7. I hate sarcastic people. Sarcasm to me is very unnatractive.

8. I like sitting on a couch.

9. I am addicted to Bejeweled Blitz.

10. I prefer peace and quiet. I am not a city person.

11. I love kids.

12. I like romance and yet have to experience it. I hope I can before I die. I want to meet a man who makes my heart skip a beat who really is someone that I can respect.

13. I used to think people were mostly kind but after living in LA I realized that, that is not the case. So now I am being WAY MORE CAUTIOUS.

14. I have decided that even though i don't want to be alone, I would rather be alone than be in a relationship that is abusive.

15. Doing stand up comes easy to me. I've always been able to do public speaking.

16. I graduated from the University of Washington with a broadcast journalism degree.

17. I love being buzzed, oh wait I think I said that at the beginning :)

18. A spirtual guide and a Thai palm reader said that I would meet the man that I am supposed to be with this year and that he is white and a few year older than me. They said he is successful and has great morals and values. I HOPE SO! I am going to keep my eye out.

19. I don't have too many close friends. Only a handful and that is all you need.

20. I hate Asian whores and the guys who pay for it.

21. Sometimes I get sad.

22. I have lots of love to give and have a big heart.

23. My favorite show is Nip Tuck. I want to have sex with Julian McMahon.

24. The most beautiful place i have ever been to is the Aleenta Spa and Resort in Phucket Thailand. I have never stayed at such a nice place in my life. I hope to visit there again one day with my husband.

25. I've been disappointed a lot :(
